The James Grayson Blog

Back to the club.

After a long 8 weeks of travelling around Europe playing in the six nations, the tournament has sadly come to an end. With France winning on points difference it was a very frustrating end to a brilliant campaign. Its undeniable that the England under 20’s have come on leaps and bounds since our first camp at Bisham Abbey and  hopefully this will put us in good stead  to have a brilliant World Cup.

Highlights of the tournament were definitely beating the French team in France. They had an amazing crowd in a big stadium; It was raining and it was a proper test match, we went there with a specific game plan and managed to successfully executed it! Another highlight was definitely beating Ireland. We played them at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry in front of a good crowd and we ground out a solid win, it was an excellent way to finish the tournament.

While I have been away with the team, life at the club has still be ticking along. It’s the time of the season where big signings are announced and on the other end unfortunately people have to leave the club and move on. It’s part of the game but it’s never nice seeing friends leave. There are some really exciting signings coming in and some that I can’t wait to work with and learn off!

The international boys have got a few days off so Fraser Dingwall and I are currently having sine time off in Barcelona. What an incredible city! You cant help but be immersed in rich culture and history, a city torn with some fighting for independence while others fight against it. I would definitely recommend visiting Barcelona if you have the chance.

When I get back, I will be picking my OCM work back up and getting stuck into doing some of the Exams!

Thanks for all your support of the last 8 weeks, as always, it’s been amazing!

Many Thanks,

James Grayson.
