First Class Rail May Be Axed

As rail fares in the UK rose by an average 3.1%, busy commuter routes may see the end of First class seats as train companies are being incentivised to provide extra standard class seats.

The Government’s initiative was being explored to ease overcrowding and confirm to Sky News they are in talks with a number operators.

Usually outstripping wage inflation, train fare rises will from now be limited to the rise in living costs.
